OFFICIAL ADVANCED-LEVEL QUALIFICATION IN SOCIAL INTEGRATION

The advanced-level training cycle in Social Integration enables you to grow professionally in the social sphere. This qualification trains you to programme, analyse, implement and assess interventions in social integration through the application of specific strategies and techniques, promoting equal opportunities and ensuring the creation of safe environments both for the recipients and for the professional.

These professionals must be able to provide solutions to new challenges such as increased life expectancy with the subsequent ageing of the population, employment opportunities for victims of gender-based violence, people with disabilities, people at risk of social exclusion, social and employment integration of immigrants, etc. Social integration is a field that calls for skilled and qualified professionals and includes activities in new sectors such as community or inter-cultural mediation.

Anyone awarded this qualification will be able to work in the people services sector, working on the basis of respect and ensuring the creation of safe environments both for the recipients and for the professional. Their spheres of action may be care, education and support in domestic and psycho-social management, and in the community services sector, psychosocial care for socially disadvantaged groups and individuals, community mediation, occupational and employment opportunities, and promotion of equal opportunities and the defence of the rights of victims of gender-based violence and their families.

Our innovative methodology

The students will work actively by themselves through processes of discovery, where the role of the professor is basically that of companion, catalyst and mentor (guide), far removed from the classical vision of the teaching process.

The commitment, then, is to a type of joint learning with methodologies that involve problem-solving, participation in project development, the joint creation of products, discussion and enquiry. The platform and the technological tools provided by the UOC will make it possible.
