A COMMITMENT TO VALUE

OUR INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGY

One of the most important points about the course offering of FP Jesuïtes UOC is its particular methodology, as it is based on innovation in educational processes with the aim of offering students a unique and enriching experience

At FP Jesuïtes UOC, we break away from the skills-based study structure based on “conventional modules”. Instead, we use a model based on “learning through know-how”, based on working on individual or group projects, specific seminars and theoretical and practical training in the workplace.

Skills are aimed at individualizing or personalizing education, allowing each student to go at their own pace, so they acquire knowledge through practical application and their own experiences.

EDUCATION THROUGH “KNOW-HOW”

BREAKAWAY FROM SKILLS-BASED LEARNING

At FP Jesuïtes UOC, students acquire these skills or “know-how” based on the continuous creation of projects, individual seminars and theoretical training and internships in the workplace.

Learning through project-based skills provides students with greater flexibility and more marked progress, as they are always able to put their academic knowledge into practice. It offers greater learning opportunities to anyone showing more aptitude, while also adapting to students requiring a slower pace.

Finally, learning through project-based skills helps families cut costs, as students subsequently do not have to take courses to complement certain academic fields and they already have work experience through the in-company internships.

The following are a few of the other aspects that set us apart and why it’s for you:

Online distance courses

With all the advantages that online education can offer, the course offering of FP Jesuïtes UOC might be your best choice if you need flexible study. Studying online allows you to organize yourself more effectively, letting you learn where and when you want.

It is precisely here that FP Jesuïtes UOC shows the extensive experience of the UOC as a benchmark in distance education, as it has over 20 years’ experience in offering quality, 100% online education.

LThe online distance study option is designed for anyone with an intense pace of life, where they have to combine their work with family, and they have little time left over for much else. By studying your advanced-level training cycle at FP Jesuïtes UOC, you will be able to plan as best suits you and go online at home, at work or wherever is most convenient for you.

Project-based learning

Courses are not divided into classic modules and subjects, but centre on projects, an increasingly more widespread methodology in our country. Project-based studying does not mean having other curricular contents, as they are the same as at any other school; the difference is that the contents are consumed (and learned) differently. Learning centres on the student, who becomes the central figure, although the professor also carries a lot of weight in the course of the studies, as he or she is responsible for adapting the content, activities and other materials to the student’s needs and concerns.

In project-based learning methodology, multiple intelligences are taken into account, which maintains that every human being has eight intelligences, whereas traditional schools only harness two: language and mathematics. And of course, the most advanced technological resources (digital devices, virtual spaces, etc.) are integrated to achieve this aim.

Project-based studying will, without a doubt, enable you to be more prepared once you enter the job market, as you will have acquired another type of knowledge and skills that will help you adapt much better to your job.

This is the new Jesuïtes educational model, based on project-based study, applied to the very youngest. In it, we can see how the different subjects are taught through practical exercises and games, trying to capture the children’s attention and moving away from the traditional educational model:

The Campus

The environment in which the student will study is a new Virtual Campus based on new learning management systems (LMS) adapted thanks to the know-how and methodology of the UOC, the product of more than 20 years’ experience in its development and teaching. Also applied in this environment is the innovative methodology of the Jesuïtes vocational training.

The Campus meets the new demands and trends in the most up-to-date online learning systems: highlighted are mobility (multi-devices), flexibility, multimedia content, cloud computing, social learning and many more new features that you will discover as a student.

The student is at the centre

In FP Jesuïtes UOC education, the student is the heart of the teaching and learning process. They become an active and independent student, working on personal projects and as part of a team. We help them develop self-knowledge and a critical sense with the aim of their constructing their own life project.
This methodology increases independent working and scientific reasoning and it combines reception learning, individual work and cooperative work. It also seeks to foster each student’s curiosity and creativity.
